About the app

QuickScan is a fast, reliable QR code and barcode scanner built to make everyday scanning effortless. Alongside scanning, the app lets you generate your own QR codes and keep a searchable history of everything you've scanned or created.

Key features

• Instant scanning — advanced recognition detects codes in a fraction of a second, including a batch mode for scanning multiple codes in one session.
• Full format support — works with QR codes and most common barcode formats.
• Code generation — create codes for websites, plain text, contacts, Wi-Fi credentials, SMS, email, and calendar events.
• History — every scan and generated code is saved locally so you can find it again, favorite it, or export it.
• Scan from gallery — analyze QR codes and barcodes from images already on your device.

Permissions we request

• Camera — required to scan codes optically. Camera access is used only while you're actively scanning; nothing is recorded or stored.
• Media / gallery access — used only when you choose to import an image to scan a code from it.
• Internet — used to display ads (for free-tier users) and to open links contained in scanned codes.
• Vibration — used only to give a short haptic tap when a scan succeeds, if enabled in Settings.

Data we collect and store

Your scan and generation history is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers. We do not require an account, and we do not collect personally identifiable information directly.

The app uses Google AdMob to display ads to free-tier users, and Google Play Billing to manage optional Pro subscriptions. These third-party services may collect limited technical data (such as device identifiers) as described below.

Your choices

You can disable vibration and other optional behaviors at any time from Settings. Subscribing to QuickScan Pro removes all ads and any related ad-network data collection. You can request deletion of your locally stored history at any time by clearing app data from your device settings, or by using the in-app delete option.
